On November 19, 2021 (Friday), National Central University will host the 2021 Taoyuan USR Alliance Workshop, themed “Sustainable Development Leading USR Practices.” This workshop will feature presentations from schools within the Taoyuan USR Alliance, showcasing their project outcomes.

2020 Taoyuan University Social Responsibility Alliance Workshop: “Innovation and Tradition”

National Central University is pleased to host the 2020 Taoyuan University Social Responsibility Alliance Workshop on “Innovation and Tradition” on October 23, 2020 (Friday). This workshop will feature outcome presentations from five universities and six projects.

The event will also include a panel discussion with Director Yan of the Taoyuan City Youth Affairs Bureau and two industry representatives, focusing on exchanges between USR, CSR and local government. We warmly invite everyone to participate in this significant event!

2020 Taoyuan Landscape Art Festival – Building Cities

The 2020 Taoyuan Landscape Art Festival will take place from September 18 to October 4, 2020, across Zhongli Dalan and Pingzhen Shuanglianpo. Over 17 days, the festival will delve into the theme “Building Cities,” exploring the interplay between urban and rural landscapes, land, and architecture. It will focus on the future of cities, natural landscapes, and circular economies, bridging the gap between highly urbanized areas and their surrounding rural regions while highlighting the connections between ecology, architecture, and culture.

This year’s festival features “Bamboo” as its central theme, with exhibitions set up in Zhongli Dalan and Pingzhen Shuanglianpo. Artists are invited to create works that reflect the unique natural and cultural aspects of these areas or to engage in collaborative projects with the public. The festival also considers the role of bamboo in living spaces and its potential for industry development, aiming to position Taoyuan as a prominent international cultural event.

The festival will showcase 28 art installations by 51 artists from Taiwan and abroad, including participants from Japan, Indonesia, and Myanmar. The Dalan exhibition area will feature 9 artworks at locations such as Yuzhang Lake, Chongde Temple, and nearby communities. In the Shuanglianpo area, 19 artworks will be displayed at sites including Fort Park, Shimen Big Ditch Ridge Trail, and the vicinity of Central University.

Resilient Community Activity in Yisheng Village, Taoyuan City – 3rd Event

Following the successful Resilient Community events held in Yisheng Village in June and July 2020, we are pleased to announce the next event on September 22, 2020 (Tuesday) at 1:30 PM. The event will be held at the Yisheng Village Activity Center in Taoyuan City’s Fuxing District.
