Job Description:

As a member of the Wen-Ying Fuxing Journalist Team, you will have the chance to join us in the mountains during your free time, participate in various exciting activities, and use both photography and writing to document these moments. Your work will be showcased on the project website for a wider audience to appreciate! (Photography equipment will be provided by us.)

What We’re Looking For:

 

• Flexible availability, as activity dates vary each month. Event schedules will be announced at the beginning of each semester for sign-ups, with additional events added throughout the semester. Most activities are held on weekdays.
• Interest and basic skills in photography, videography, editing, or writing. Enthusiastic beginners are also welcome to apply!
• Physically capable of traveling to the mountains and working in natural environments.
• Proactive, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about collaboration.
• Efficient and punctual in submitting assignments.

 

About Us:

We are the NCU mbhoyaw “Fuxing” Project, a cross-disciplinary USR (University Social Responsibility) initiative focused on sustainability. Our project is based in Fuxing District, Taoyuan City, covering sub-projects on smart disaster prevention, energy and carbon reduction, sustainable environment, culture, and local industries. We aim to build connections and friendships in the mountains, working alongside local communities to explore diverse ways of mountain living.

We are pleased to announce that the Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Certification Training held on June 28, 2024, at Luofu Wenjian Station was a great success. All 15 participants from the program have successfully passed the certification and received their BTLS credentials!

The mbhoyaw Fuxing team will continue to collaborate with local partners in Fuxing District, focusing on disaster prevention issues and promoting resilient community development. Let’s keep learning, working, and growing together!

We are thrilled to announce that the Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Certification Class, held on April 23, 2024, at Yihsing Wenjian Station, was a great success. A total of 15 participants completed the training and received their BTLS certification.

The mbhoyaw Fuxing team will continue to work closely with local partners in the Fuxing District, focusing on disaster prevention and advancing resilient community development. Together, we will continue to learn, collaborate, and achieve great things!

This position involves a mix of office work, field exploration, and community engagement focused on sustainability issues. As part of the National Central University College of Engineering’s mbhoyaw “Fuxing”—a cross-disciplinary USR project emphasizing sustainability—the role extends to the [Rural Revitalization Fund Project], which focuses on bamboo harvesting and community life.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, with proficiency in document processing (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
2. Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, a passion for learning, and effective communication and coordination abilities.
3. Interest: Enthusiasm for environmental education, indigenous cultures, sustainable development, community engagement, and bamboo industry topics.
4. Experience: Experience in organizing events and meetings, liaising with vendors, and exploring local industry issues.
5. Travel: Willingness to travel to Taoyuan City’s Fuxing District (mountainous areas), with a valid driver’s license and driving experience.
6. Application Requirements: Applicants must explain their understanding of the mbhoyaw “Fuxing” USR project and propose how they can contribute effectively to the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience: Background in environmental education, sustainability project planning, and execution.
2. Administrative Skills: Experience in administrative document handling.
3. Additional Skills: Proficiency in video editing and event planning.
4. Supporting Documents: Provide relevant work samples, images, or documentation related to the preferred qualifications.

Job Details:

– Role: Assist in implementing the [Rural Revitalization Fund Project], focusing on bamboo harvesting and community life.

– Unit: General Education Center, National Central University.

– Location: Office and fieldwork primarily in Taoyuan City’s Fuxing District.

– Tasks: Support bamboo industry development activities, including ESG integration, bamboo forest tours, and local industry development.

Employment Terms:

– Duration: Start from the actual date of employment, with a 3-month probation period. Upon successful completion, employment will continue until December 31, 2024.

– Compensation: Salary negotiable or based on National Central University’s staff remuneration standards, including labor insurance, health insurance, pension contributions, and year-end bonus as per regulations.
