This role supports the National Central University mbhoyaw “Fuxing” — Cross-Domain Collaboration with Sustainability as the Keyword (USR Program). It is a non-typical position: at times you will draft proposals and handle office tasks; at other times you will work in the field—often in mountain areas—building relationships with local communities and engaging with environmental sustainability issues.
Required Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s degree or above; proficiency with office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
2.Comfortable working across disciplines; thoughtful, eager to learn, communicative, and strong in coordination.
3.Demonstrated interest in environmental education, Indigenous issues, sustainable development, social engagement, and the bamboo industry.
4.Experience organizing events and meetings; liaising with vendors and government agencies; proactively identifying local industry issues and coordinating responses.
5.Willingness to travel. Primary field site: Fuxing District (mountain area), Taoyuan City. Valid driver’s license and on-road driving experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Background in forestry/agriculture, or experience with carbon credits, carbon sinks, net-zero planning/management, or project execution.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Principal Investigator in implementing the Ministry of Education Phase IV University Social Responsibility (USR) Program, mbhoyaw “Fuxing”—Cross-Domain Collaboration with Sustainability as the Keyword.
Key duties include support for culture- and industry-related subprojects (e.g., bamboo industry development in Fuxing District: promoting northern regional material sorting, policy advocacy and inter-university exchange, exploring diversified utilization pathways, and other local industry development tasks; student capstone/practicum projects), cross-project shared support and administrative work, and other duties as assigned.
Term & Working Hours:
1.A three-month probation begins on the actual start date. Upon passing the evaluation, employment proceeds on a one-year renewable basis, up to the end of the current USR funding period (2027). Subsequent renewals depend on future project-funding outcomes.
2.Leave and attendance are governed by National Central University’s “Guidelines for the Management of Personnel of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Extension Education Projects.”
Compensation: Salary is negotiable or according to National Central University’s pay scale for full-time project personnel. Labor insurance, National Health Insurance, labor pension, and year-end bonus will be provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
