National Central University ranked fifth nationwide in the 2025 USR University Citizenship Survey by CommonWealth Magazine, among public large-scale universities (over 6,000 students).

This year’s survey evaluated five key areas: governance, teaching, social engagement, environmental sustainability, and peer sustainability review.

A new “Special Project” category was also introduced, highlighting each university’s most impactful sustainability initiative from the past year.
