In early July 2024, National Central University hosted the “Environmental Inclusion, Walking with Bamboo: 2024 Ministry of Education University Social Responsibility SIG Forum.” The forum primarily focused on the development of the bamboo industry and explored possible collaborations among the government, industry, and academia. Participants included representatives from the government, such as the Forestry Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, industry professionals, including architectural firms and local revitalization teams, as well as academic representatives from National Cheng Kung University, National Chung Cheng University, and Central University’s USR team. They exchanged views and ideas on bamboo industry development.

It seeks to foster dialogue by reflecting on the “past practical experiences” of the three universities—Central, Chung Cheng, and Cheng Kung—from the perspective of how universities can fulfill their social responsibility.
