To explore the key role of the bamboo industry in global sustainable development, with a focus on Taiwan’s bamboo industry policies, National Central University hosted the ‘Environmental Inclusion, Walking with Bamboo: 2024 Ministry of Education University Social Responsibility SIG Topic Exchange Event.’ The event took place over two days, from July 4 to 5, at the NCU Research Building. Government agencies, frontline bamboo industry personnel, and academic institutions were invited to jointly discuss the current state of the industry. Participants also conducted a field visit to the Moso bamboo production area in Fuxing District, with the goal of fostering local revitalization and promoting industrial innovation through technological advancements and value applications.
