The food agriculture education camp for this time was hit by the severe cold front. It was really cold. Yet, we thanked the teachers of Youxiayun, Huang, Chung-Chun and Chen, Yi-Ching, for their help. They turned on the heat to keep us warm, and also baked sweet potatoes for us. It was really a good thing to have this kind of hot food in the cold wintry days.
This was the first time that we held the food agriculture camp. We taught the children of Yisheng Primary School about aquaponics and shared and exchanged the experience of food agriculture education with the school teachers so that they could combine related knowledge in teaching in the future, and continue to advocate related subjects in school. Finally, we led the children to assemble the aquaponics model designed by us and provided vegetable seedlings and young fish for them to practice. The ongoing running of an aquaponics system is a bit of a challenge, but we hope the children could really learn something from this food agriculture education camp.
It was laborious in the process of organizing this food agriculture camp. But the children were very pleased in the camp and their laughter made our effort worthwhile.

We also learned a lot from this food agriculture camp. From the preparation stage, I went up to the mountain to understand the aquaponics system, and after a lot of meetings in the process, I went to the time of the assembly of the small aquaponics model. We then found out that a lot of work and effort is required to organize an event like this. I acted as the team supervisor in the event. The mission looks simple, but requires and understanding of everything about the camp before I could respond to the variety of questions from the children. Perhaps it is congruent with my preference for acquaintance. I get along with the school children very well. I realized that I have the potential to be a supervisor, and I enjoyed this task.
In taking the course of social participation, we have the opportunity to access many things in the real world. We can explore our own interests and develop our own soft power. It is invaluable. In the year ahead, I will continue to take part in this topic. I am a senior at NCU and am bound to lead the juniors in extending this topic. I hope I can do a good job and make this scheme continue.
