On the journey toward net-zero transformation, nature should not only be protected but also empowered as an active partner in sustainability. The Xiulin Township Bamboo Industry Sustainable Development Forum, held on August 29 at the Taroko Visitor Center, was co-organized by the Tzu Chi University USR Teaching and Research Center and the Xiulin Township Office. The event brought together over 70 representatives from industry, government, academia, and local communities to discuss how bamboo can serve as a bridge between culture and sustainability—exploring topics that ranged from farmers’ life stories and industry practices to strategies for achieving net zero.
