Makino bamboo is a distinctive product of Fuxing District. It is not only the vital material for the livelihood of Taiya tribe but also a vital source of many bamboo products at home and abroad due to the specific characters of the materials. This industry provides a fair amount of stable jobs for the local residents of Fuxing District. This scheme is delegated by Taoyuan City Government, and in cooperation with You Shun Bamboo Co., Ltd., Taoyuan City Fuxing Makino Bamboo Industrial Development Association, Department of Architecture at Ming Chuan University, Fuxing District Office in Taoyuan City, Taoyuan City Government Research and Evaluation Department, which is a joint venture by the government, universities, and industry. We studied the business entity of “”The Story of Lu Ma (Wood and Stone) – Sustainable Bamboo Development Program””, and report to National Development Council as regional revitalization program. This is an effort to rally for more resources and prompt for the development of local industry for the youths of Fuxing District to continue the development of bamboo industry.”

This business entity has been approved and included as a part of the scheme in Phase II. The change of government policy made this program under the direct supervision and subsidy of the Forestry and Conservation Administration. This task force will continue to assist the partners in the field to advocate and unfold the bamboo material site plan.
