Sustainable ‘Revitalization’ – Building Smart and Resilient Tribes focuses on ‘locality’ as its core value, emphasizing the unique characteristics and conditions of different regions while presenting diverse and local knowledge. The goal is to challenge the authority of generalized knowledge with local knowledge, working together to ensure the survival, livelihood, and lifestyle sustainability of indigenous communities. Taoyuan City’s Fuxing District serves as the learning and practice site for this project. With ‘sustainable environment’ as the primary concern, the project engages in cross-disciplinary collaboration to enhance Fuxing District’s capacity to become a resilient community, ultimately achieving the goal of ‘responding to sustainable development and building resilient communities.’ During the expo, various bamboo products were showcased, along with a disaster prevention model of Yisheng Village in Fuxing District, which was jointly created by student teams and local partners to be used for future disaster prevention drills.
